Kimberley, British Columbia, near Cranbrook, is a four-season destination rich in history and was voted the BEST small town in BC by CBC. During my visits to Kimberley, I felt the community pride in the restaurants I ate at, coffee shops, and speaking with business owners while shopping downtown, admiring the Bavarian-inspired architecture, and hiking in the area. In my article 7 Things to Do in Cranbrook in the Fall“, you can read more about what to do in the region. There are many places to stay in Kimberley, and on this visit, I chose to stay at one of Mountainside Airbnbs’ condos named: Mountainside: The Studio. Boutique Ski Hill Condos. Owner Kristie has three condos listed near one of Canada’s most beautiful ski resorts, the Kimberley Alpine Resort.

I appreciated the personalized and unique experience that the host, Kristie, provided, with local recommendations for things to do and see. I also had more space and amenities than I would have had in a traditional hotel room, such as a full kitchen and laundry facilities and the friendly neighbourhood deer I saw on my drive into town. As mentioned above, I stayed in The Mainstay: Ski In and Ski Out Condo on this visit.
