I had the pleasure of staying at the luxury oceanfront hotel Oak Bay Beach Hotel for a Wellness Weekend with Catherine Roscoe Barr of The Life Delicious. It couldn’t have come at a more perfect time this year and she motivated me on so many different levels. A complete reset! You can read more details in the “special events” below.

Oak Bay Beach Hotel was the perfect location…especially with the mineral baths overlooking the Salish Sea…oh…and the eucalyptus steam sauna was simply amazing. 😍

Rooms

The rooms are spacious and I was fortunate to have a garden side and ocean view suite with a kitchen. Pictures say more than I can describe in words! My first night was quite relaxing with the fireplace on and curled up on the couch with a good book…enjoying room service.

Dining

Oak Bay Beach Hotel has a few dining options, The Snug Pub, Kate’s Café, and The Dining Room. Most of our meals were a custom menu designed for our Wellness Weekend but I did have to order room service on the night of my arrival. I couldn’t resist Smoked Salmon Flatbread.

Activities

Before you venture out and explore Victoria, make sure to take advantage of the mineral baths at the Hotel. There are one main heated pool and two smaller hot tubs, each at different heat levels. All amazing. I couldn’t resist the eucalyptus steam sauna as the cap to my evening. So perfect!

Special Events — Wellness Weekend with The Life Delicious

I attended a Wellness Weekend by Catherine Roscoe Barr of The Life Delicious, hosted at Oak Bay Beach Hotel. I can’t say enough positive things about this retreat and the amazing people that participated. I feel like I have made many new friends.

Catherine holds a BSc in neuroscience and is a fitness instructor and well versed in what she teaches with real-life examples. I came away with a renewal of my personal goals and a path of how to achieve them. We started our days with short exercises, such as stretching and walking, that can be done even with the busiest schedules at home and travelling. It was fascinating to learn how sleep, exercise, and mindset all affect how our bodies work, and just the small things we can do daily to help our bodies perform more efficiently. I won’t give away any more of her lessons so make sure you attend her next retreat. The next Wellness Weekend is January 31 to February 2, 2020, at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel—make sure to book your spot!
