Your first choice for boutique hotels in Vancouver, BC… the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver.
My stay was hosted by The JW Marriott Parq Vancouver. Opinions are my own.
My spring has been quite busy so far, so I was happy to escape my desk for a short adventure to Vancouver. I wanted to stay somewhere central and stylish, and found JW Marriott Parq Vancouver to be just that! It is now my first choice for boutique hotels in Vancouver, BC.
The hotel was easy to find from the TransCanada Highway and thankfully there is a pull-out area in front of the hotel where guests can park while checking in. The hotel offers underground parking, which is another benefit, I didn’t have to walk through the rain with my luggage. Once inside, I was warmly welcomed the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, and the staff was friendly and helpful with my questions throughout my stay.
The JW Marriott hotel is part of Parq Vancouver which also includes the Douglas hotel and a Casino Resort. If you’re wondering where to stay in Vancouver, look no further. Located between Gastown and Yaletown, this elegant hotel is just steps from BC Place Stadium, about a 10-minute walk from Rogers Place and less than 5 kilometres from Granville Island Public Market.
Rooms
I was very impressed with my room and the view of False Creek. The stylish, calming decor put me at ease immediately, which I needed after a hectic few months. One of my favourite moments was relaxing in the chaise lounge in the evening and watching the lights change colours on the Science World across the waters of False Creek. This gave me time to recharge and get ready for speaking at a conference the next day.
Each of the 329 rooms at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver are well thought out and includes the essential amenities I look for such as wifi, air conditioning, plug-ins to recharge my tech near the bed, and an espresso and coffee maker. I was happy to discover a coffee maker in my room, as I often wake up early and like to enjoy a cup before the day gets too busy.

Conference and Event Space at JW Marriott Parq Hotel
One of the reasons for my visit to Vancouver was to attend a conference hosted at this hotel. The large conference floor is set up very well with the main hall and numerous smaller rooms for breakout sessions.

Exceptional Conference Food
The food during the conference was as delicious as it was stunning to look at. The staff was professional and attentive to our needs…and I can be a bit high maintenance with food allergies. 🙂

Dining in the Hotel
The hotel offers a few options for dining — room service plus two restaurants. I dined at Honey Salt located on the main floor near the lobby. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food… amazing! My photos don’t do it justice. You’ll just have to try it for yourself! I want to give a big shout-out to the staff who were fantastic, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the dishes. My favourite spot was in the outdoor area, heated in the mornings on the days that are a bit chilly. They have a beautiful spot with two swinging chairs set up for perfect Insta moments!

Amenities at JW Marriott Parq Hotel
Picture yourself in the spa on the receiving end of a relaxing massage, body treatment, or a facial… or perhaps spending time in the hair salon preparing for your evening event after a good workout in the fitness centre.

There is no pool at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver, but there is a beautiful outdoor lounge area to spend time in the sunshine enjoying the views and visiting with other guests.

Make Your Stay Part of a Road Trip
