This holiday season I visited Mission Hill Family Estate Winery for a wine tasting paired with delicious bites and a special tour of the beautifully decorated trees throughout the humidity-controlled barrel cellar and Visitor’s Hall. All trees were sponsored by local businesses in support of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation (BCCHF) and a percentage of the proceeds from each experience was donated to the BCCHF. This Festival has been hosted at Mission Hill for over six years and has been a community tradition in BC for over 30 years. My visit was courtesy of Mission Hill Family Estate Winery and Tourism Kelowna.

I was happy to see a bit of snow throughout the winery to help set the festive mood and we even spotted a deer curled up in the trees outside.
If you know anything about me, you know I love Christmas and beautifully decorated trees, so prepare for Christmas overload! We toured through the Winery, sipping mulled wine, and admiring the beautiful trees set up throughout, decorated by each sponsor’s employees in a theme related to their business.

To finish off our visit, we enjoyed a seated wine tasting and delicious bites and made new friends with others in our tasting group! Kudos to our wine ambassador for the wonderful tour and for sharing his knowledge of Mission Hill’s wine and pairings.

This was an event well worth attending and helping to support the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. I’m looking forward to attending the Festival of Trees again next year! If you’d like to sponsor a tree in Kelowna next year, reach out to Mission Hill Family Estate Winery.
